This yearly event is very special to us as a company and was held in memory of Simplify employee, [Geoff Sadler](https://www.sherrysrun.org/blog/entry/16th-annual-sherry-s-run-held-in-memory-of-geoff-sadler), in 2019. The 2021 Sherry’s Run 5K is held in memory of [Cathy Carey](https://www.sherrysrun.org/blog/entry/cathy-carey-a-light-that-continues-to-shine) and [Al Ashworth](https://www.sherrysrun.org/blog/entry/al-ashworth-an-original-not-a-copy). Cathy was involved with the Sherry’s Hope Organization from the very first 5K Run/Walk event. She was a huge supporter for many and loved being a part of this organization. Al was a multi-talented individual who inspired others with his passion for excellence and photography. He was a community leader, author, entrepreneur, and mentor to many.  ### What is Sherry’s Run? A dear friend approached her husband and children with the idea to honor her and help fight against cancer. Year after year, the 5K grew so much that it turned into a nonprofit organization called [Sherry’s Hope](https://sherryshope.org/).
